Sundays are for cleaning the house, going to parks, and baking muffins. These apple cinnamon and brown sugar muffins are delectable! Secret ingredient for light and fluffy (and way healthier!) muffins is coconut oil! πŸ€— No filter needed. Recipe being added to @kulaandkale soon! ✌🏻 #healthblog #healthyfood #healthymama
Today I ran. I didn't run far and I didn't run fast. But I ran. I showed up for myself today. Self care is important. You can't expect to fill another person's cup if yours is empty. What have you done for yourself lately? πŸ‘ŠπŸ»
Nothing crazy about this 5am run. But starting my day with exercise gives my brain and body the Kickstart it needs to kick Monday's ass. I'm ready for whatever comes my way and I'll be able to respond to those situations with a more clear and positive mindset. πŸ’ͺ🏼
When your 4 year old requests a kid yoga session on YouTube you make it happen! Plus, she'd rather listen to a video than me anyway πŸ˜‰
Honest post 🚨I've been having a parenting and personal awakening lately. And I felt other parents, soon-to-be parents, educators, and basically anyone dealing with people, would benefit from some cold hard truth about the way we talk to our kids. You're welcome. Go on over to @kulaandkale for the full post πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://kulaandkale.net/category/parenting/
My name is Coley and I struggle with anxiety. I've always had trouble managing my anxiety, as I was never a fan of being medicated to "control" it. I've been searching for ways to monitor my emotions. And I think I've found it. I saw this on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. It's only been a few days but when I am honest with myself about each day I can reflect on it. It allows me to accept myself and the emotions I had that day. But I take it further. After I recognize how I felt each day I then remind myself of the positive experiences I had even if my day felt overwhelming and exhausting. Although I color a box to show that my day was a certain way, I still find the good in that day. My anxiety doesn't define me, but it is a part of me. Instead of hiding it and pretending I'm "normal" I've decided to embrace it. I'm a constant work in progress and I'm okay with that. We need to speak out more about mental illness. It's not a taboo conversation. It doesn't mean I'm not a good person or parent. It means I'm human. Yoga, meditation, and self reflection have helped me accept myself for all that I am. Love yourself. Even the parts of you that you think can't be loved. Find you someone who supports you UNCONDITIONALLY. Who will be there when your anxiety starts to get out of hand. Who will find ways to support you through a panic attack. Who will ground you back to reality when your anxiety is out of control. A great support system can help make all the difference. β™₯️
Everytime I sit AJ in her chair she points to the Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and grape tomatoes. I thought for sure she wouldn't want them. I love being wrong! πŸ˜‰ This girl LOVES cherry tomatoes! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
